COVID-19

BerryClean has the unique opportunity to reduce the spread and propagation of COVID-19 during these difficult times. In the last two months we have drastically changed the way we operate and have added the following safety precautions to keep all of us safe:

  • Practicing social distancing while on the job and ensuring all team members are fit and healthy prior to coming in to work.
  • Use of PPE: single-use latex gloves and shoe covers, and masks for every one of team members.
  • Disinfecting our Miele vacuums, mops, and equipment between each Clean.
  • Wiping down and disinfecting surfaces and hot spots such as light switches, doorknobs and drawer pulls with bleach.
  • Liberal washing of hands with hot water and soap.
  • Disinfecting rags with bleach and hot water. We use rags to stay green, however if you would like us to use single-use paper towels during this time we are happy to do so as well (please provide these for your cleaners).
  • We have brought transportation in-house and reduced the use of Uber and Lyft as much as possible to lower potential exposure to COVID-19. We apologize for any slight delays that this may cause.
  • We are providing our cleaners with special instructions for each and every appointment as necessary. Please advise us if you have any reason to believe that an area may be at high risk for exposure to COVID-19.

To minimize any risks associated with COVID-19 we also recommend the following:

  • Take advantage of our key service by leaving a key for us so our teams can enter your home without interacting with you. Let us know if you’d like to store your key with us.
  • Feel free to stay in your bedroom or office while the service takes place so that you do not need to interact with the cleaning team. You can also take a walk and get some fresh air while your service takes place, or do any essential shopping you need to do.
  • Book one of our Deep Cleans so that every surface in your home is cleaned and disinfected for ultimate peace of mind.

We have been humbled the support we have received from the community and we would also like to contribute, so for the month of May, we are providing free Cleans to frontline workers within our service area on a first come, first served basis. Please help spread the word.

We’re incredibly humbled by the warmth, kindness, support, and generosity that we’ve seen during these times. Many of you have purchased gifts cards, added extra tips for our cleaners, and continued to pay, even for cancelled appointments. Many of you have also inquired about the well-being of our team so we would like to share what we’ve done for our team:

  • Additional pay to reward our staff that have elected to continue working through these times.
  • Provided all of our staff with up to an additional 80 hours of paid leave on top of their normal PTO in accordance with the Families First Coronavirus Response Act.
  • In the process of obtaining aid via various SBA programs and loans, including the Paycheck Protection Program to keep our staff paid for the next 8 weeks regardless of the amount of work that we have.


We are continuing to see requests to disinfect and clean homes and offices, and the best way to support us is by booking with us! If these are services you are interested in please feel free to reach out anytime. We’re happy to discuss each and every situation with you personally.

As a valued customer of BerryClean we would like to update you on our handling of the COVID-19 Coronavirus situation.

BerryClean has and will continue to take necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our customers and our staff. We can confirm that none of our workers have traveled to areas of risk or been in contact with any reported cases.

To ensure customer safety, any team exhibiting any signs of illness or flu-like symptoms will be sent home until they have been cleared by a medical professional. We will do our best to replace that team as early as we can, however we do ask for your patience if this impacts your Clean. We have also taken additional steps to ensure our teams continue to maintain safe hygienic practices.

To ensure the safety of our cleaning teams, we ask that if you are exhibiting any symptoms that you let us know as soon as you can so we can arrange the cancellation or reschedule your booking.

We are providing cleaning and disinfecting services to lower the risk and spread of COVID-19. Please let us know if you have any special requests or would like us to disinfect any specific surfaces. We want you to know that you can continue to rely on our teams to provide best in class service.

To avoid cancellation fees, please notify us of your situation 24 hours in advance of your booking. Email and/or text reminders will continue to be sent 3 days and 1 day prior to your booking. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to me directly.
